What is Yoga for Autism?

Yoga for Autism is a Bristol based yoga service available to anyone six years and over including adults who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

Yoga is known to have a positive impact on a person’s wellbeing and can bring positive effects to all aspects of the body and mind.

Yoga for Autism is an adaption of yoga for those on the Autistic Spectrum to help support:

  • regulation of emotion,
  • awareness of the body,
  • shifting the persons nervous system from one of “flight fright freeze” to a feeling of internal safety and calm.

This can have a profound affect on the person’s balance, mobility and can also improve quality of sleep whilst increasing confidence and self belief.

It can also help reduce anxiety and stress by helping to regulate emotions,  supporting a calm and peaceful mind.

What to Expect

Sessions are offered 1:1 at your home, in your garden or virtual wherever is the most comfortable for the client.

Typically sessions will last up to one hour depending on the different needs of the individual.

Sessions are available every evening Monday- Friday; and can be arranged on weekends where possible.
